Bill's Garden
A place of sanctuary. From the pressures of work, family, memory, the world.
A place of growth. From seed to sustenance. Year to year. Preparing, sowing, tending, harvesting. Cycles of life. The children grow, relationships change, the garden endures.
These photographs were made over a period of 10 years. All in a space likely less than 100 feet square. Upon seeing them for the first time, one person intimately connected to the place commented, "These aren't photographs of a garden, they're photographs of a man." The place becomes a reflection of the person who lives in it, tends it, and cares for it. It bares a bit of his soul. The garden still lives on, now tended by the next generation and it now reflects a new keeper's character.
